Code of Conduct 2023 Revision

New Keys to the City https://www.nyc.gov/assets/mome/pdf/keys_to_the_city.pdf

Found this online...wasn't talked about so figured I'd put it here and highlight newish rules

"1.     Permittee should turn off vehicle engines as soon as possible and must not violate applicable idling laws.

2.     Campers: Permittee must ensure that all campers are tied-in and powered from one source."

"Permittee should not park a generator truck or a camper with a running generator in front of residential buildings"

I think this means campers need a generator so they don't idle...

"1.     keep equipment curbside oreither in a curb lanes (Iflane (if the Film Permit authorizes held parking), (c) may keep) or inside a vehicle or building. Working equipment in front ofis allowed only those buildings that are working directly with the Permittee, and (d) must not stage equipment in front of closed storefronts without permission of the storeon a sidewalk or curb lane of a picture block."

So nothing on a sidewalk unless you are on the filming block.

"1.     Identification: All crew members, including parking P.A.s, must wear and display I.D. badges at all times. In addition to I.D. badges, parking P.A.s should wear production identifying safety vests."

Crew badges on location and safety vests for parking PAs

"1.     Permittee may leave bagged trash in rigid receptacles with tight-fitting lids that are labeled with the name and phone number of the Permittee at curbside for up to 12 hours for a private carting company if the trash bags are bundled and include an identifying label (or the template provided by the Film Office), butcarter collection.Permittee must not leave biohazard waste (including personal protective equipment) at the location."

No Garbage bags. Ridged receptacles with tight fitting lids.

Seems to be a disagreement between the keys to the city and the revision

Keys: "A 13.5 foot emergency traffic lane must be maintained at all times."

Revision: "Permittee must maintain an emergency traffic lane of at least 15 feet wide at all times."

Also in disagreement

REvision: "1.     Vehicular Traffic: Permittee may not intermittently hold or redirect vehicular traffic unless it is authorized by the Film Permit and supervised by an NYPD Movie/TV Unit officer. Only traffic agents and/or crew members with a flagger certification may assist with intermittent traffic control under the supervision of the NYPD Movie/TV Unit."

Keys"Intermittent holding or redirection of vehicular traffic for picture is to be performed by NYPD Movie/TV Unit

officers or TED traffic agents only. Only Flagger certified P.A.s can assist with intermittent traffic control under

the supervision of the NYPD Movie/TV Unit."

So keys says NYPD can intermittently hold traffic (like a long time ago) but now they say it has to be agents or flaggers.
