Pension and Welfare contributions for locations are currently $15.669 per hour ($16.69 per hour effective 3/31/21) (subject to change) plus an additional 2.5% of their applicable wage scale for the Individual Account Plan (IAP).
Please note that weekly Locations employees are guaranteed a minimum of 5 consecutive, 12-hour days per week.
OVERTIME
Weekly: Guaranteed 5, 12-hour work days
Time and one-half (1.5X) for all hours worked after 8 hours in a day or after 60 hours in a work week
Daily: Guaranteed 8-hour work day
Time and one half after 8 hours up to the 12th hour, Double time (2X) after the 12th hour
7TH CONSECUTIVE DAY WORKED OR HOLIDAY PAY
2x for all hours worked
CANCELLATION OF CALL
No later than 8pm on the evening before the day of the call
REST PERIOD
8 hours between calls
USE OF EMPLOYEES CAR (CHOICE IS AT THE EMPLOYER’S OPTION)
$50.00 per day + gas and expenses.
or
$70.00 per day includes fuel costs + expenses.
or
Employer can provide vehicle.
HOLIDAYS
New Year’s Day, Presidents’ Day (third Monday in February), Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
If holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be considered the holiday. If the holiday falls on Sunday, the following Monday shall be considered the holiday. EXCEPT on distant locations, Saturday holidays will be recognized on Saturday.
If a daily employee works the business day before and the business day after a recognized holiday, the employee shall receive eight (8) hours of straight pay for that unworked holiday.
NEARBY LOCATION
Nearby location are those locations outside of the studio zone on which employees are NOT lodged overnight, but return to the studio or home at the end of the workday. Studio Rates and Working conditions shall prevail.
DISTANT LOCATIONS
Distant Locations are locations on which the employee is required to remain away and be lodged overnight.
HAZARDOUS WORK
You may refuse without jeopardizing work opportunities.
If one chooses to work, you have the right to negotiate a fee in advance.
Contact the Union if you have safety concerns.
KIT RENTAL
Negotiated directly with Employer on a daily or weekly basis.
Kit rental payment is made throughout the production, THERE IS NO CAP.
