Job Definitions Plus One thing we forgot today.
After hearing todays meeting what do people think of these dedinitions
The Assistant Location Manager works closely with the Location Manager, in overseeing all aspects of the location department. When the Location Manager is absent, the ALM steps in as the Location Manager Pro Tempore on locations to enforce location and permit regulations on location and supervise location assistants and Unit Production Assistants. Additionally, ALMs operate within all aspects of IBT jurisdiction, which encompasses scouting and obtaining necessary permissions for filming. They also ensure compliance with the provisions outlined in the 817 contract for all members of the location support staff.
LOCATION COORDINATOR Duties include coordinating the daily work of, and providing clerical support for, the Locations Department. The Location Coordinator acts as the information hub by receiving all the information from department members and disbursing accordingly. Location coordinators are responsible for filling all permits with the supervision of the location manager and ALMs and create daily maps and tech scout maps/packets for produciton dirtirbution.
Also one more question came up on the forum about lunch being on or off the clock that was not mentionded in the long meeting...
from the commercial agreement "For Location Scouts...employed on shooting days..., it is agreed that the twelve (12) hour minimum call shall be deemed to include a thirty (30) minute meal period to be scheduled by the Employer and which may be at such time as the Employer determines to break for meals."
