"Heads Up! IATSE has stepped in on behalf of the crew for Uwe Boll’s current film FIRST SHIFT filming in NYC. The crew (myself included) went on strike today after production refused to negotiate regarding safe working conditions. Crew became concerned last week when a producer brought an unauthorized and loaded weapon (blanks) to set “as a joke”.

Director Uwe Boll refuses to acknowledge the severity of the situation as well as the needs of crew in order to move forward. Production is attempting to replace all crew and continue filming despite IATSE picketing outside.

They are filming today in the UWS in NYC. Crew did not show up so they are having the PA’s help the 3 or so German camera guys who are in town (without work visas) and have asked the doc crew following Uwe to run sound. They have no intention of shutting down or of negotiating with IATSE
