This year's Labor Day Parade will be different for several important reasons.

The Rally and March will take place on Tuesday, September 8, from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM, and will be held in Lower Manhattan near the World Trade Center site.

As we approach the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, organizers want to honor not only the union members and tradespeople who helped build, and worked in the world trade center, but also the many labor members who participated in the rescue, recovery, and rebuilding efforts following the attacks.

The date was selected to avoid conflicts with memorial events taking place over the following weekend.

Rally

• Location: LIBERTY STREET btw: Church and Broadway

• Time: 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM

• Program will include speakers and special guests.

March

• Time: 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM

• Route:

  • North on Church Street, to Worth St.

  • East on Worth Street, to Lafayette St.

  • South to Foley Square
